Creating a new fitness routine, especially your first, can be difficult

Luckily, there’s a smart way to set fitness goals.

In this video, recovery coach, Lindsay Violanti, explains and expounds the S.M.A.R.T. technique when setting goals for successful recovery through fitness. Be specific. Make sure they’re measurable, achievable, and relevant to what you’re working on. And make your goals time-based. This is a great way to set fitness goals whether you’re just getting started or have been hitting the gym for a bit and want a new way to do things.

It’s good to know what you want out of your fitness routine. What is your end goal? When we set our goals, we want them to be realistic because then they’re more likely to be met. A way to do that is to set S.M.A.R.T. goals. That’s an acronym for “specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-based” goals.
