You don’t need a green thumb to grow as a newly sober person.

However, taking care of plants can certainly help you grow.

In this video, recovery advocate, Josh Jones, shares with us the insightful ways that gardening and taking care of house plants help us in recovery. Although it takes a while, plants can’t teach us a lot about ourselves, including being patient with ourselves. We can benefit from horticulture through getting more sun and fresh air as well as learning to cope healthily and be proactive with our triggers.
