Recovery 101: What is Recovery?

Recovery is often considered a loaded and broad term. But what is recovery? Can it be neatly defined and what all does it entail?

Co-founder of Three20 Recovery Center, Amber Hicks, sits down with Life Recovery Podcast host, Mike Plebanski, to define recovery in its simplest terms, distinguish the difference between recovery and treatment, and describe the many different facets of life where recovery is experienced.

If you’re new to the recovery process, wanting to understand what a loved one is going through, or looking for more resources to boost a client’s journey or even your own, this show is for you.

Amber Hicks has served in the field of addiction and recovery for over 15 years. As co-founder and executive director of a successful substance use treatment center, Three20 Recovery Center, she brings experience and practical application to her role and work as a recovery advocate.
