What is a Narcan?

An emergency life-saving medicine that can quickly reverse an opioid overdose.

We again sit down with Director of Peer Services at Three20 Recovery Center, Christine Michiaels, to briefly discuss the essential understanding of opioids, how and why they cause overdoses, and how we can help each other prevent, combat, and recover from such frightening incidents. Narcan is the primary weapon we have post-overdose and Christine shares with us what it is, where we can find Narcan to keep on hand in our homes and business, and even how to administer it.

Christine is the Director of Peer Services at Three20 Recovery. She is a Certified Addiction Peer Recovery coach and holds a degree in Psychology. She has worked in the treatment and recovery field for over 5 years. She brings personal and professional experience.
